Danielle, I think about me all the time! grin.

I used to know a girl in high school who had this, it doesn't sound like much fun, I need to look her up and see what happen to her, I know it did cause her a lot of problems!

I was actually doing some research online today on CFS. A lot of the symptims apply to me and I was considering going to see my doctor about this at some point, because for me, the fatigue has been going on for a long time. I just didn't know what the deal was. It's quite debilatating.

Yeh, it really is..... And so few people actually believe you.... They just think you're milking it or lazy or making it up. How far they are from the truth, most of them will never know.

What's ME?

ME stands for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. Another name for it is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Yep, I've been diagnosed with CFS. It's horrible. Especially when people don't understand it, and try to force me to stay awake. Like this afternoon, I couldn't hardly move, I felt that weak, and a friend kept wanting me to get up, go for a walk, get some fresh air, like that would be the cure for everything. I couldn't even get my damn mind to clear. I felt myself get angry, andI'm sure I came up with some really nasty comment, but I don't even remember what I said. I've started to talk more in my sleep, in that half-state, and it scares me.

How was it for you getting diagnosed? Did it take a long time? How long were you sick before you were recognised as there being something wrong, even if they didn't know what it is? How have you had to change your life?

I've actually looked at getting diagnosed with it. I'm having a sleeping specialist talk to me on the sixth of next month and if we can't figure anything out then my Dr. will probably diagnose me with it. I just had to talk to him and explain my symtpoms. He looked at my blood, my blood pressure, things like that. My thyroid's fine, everything's normal there and all that. Plus, I have no pain, which pain is often more associated with Lupis I think. So, I might be diagnosed with it soon. Even small amounts of walking tire me out or doing anything physical really tires me out too. Mental exercian doesn't help and neither does sleep. I've been working on changing my life, but it's really hard for me. I know what it's like being with people who don't understand. I don't like that either. There's a community on LJ for people with CFS and they've really been helpful to me.

I don't think I know anyone who has this.
